Biography:
Telse Schnelle-Cölln (born 9 July 1926, † 28 April 2001) was a German painter, moderator and expert in color theory and founded the 'optical rhetoric'. Telse Schnelle-Cölln was associated with modern painting and was also interested in the works of Henri Matisse, Max Bill and Victor Vasarely, whom she met in person. She made sculptures and plaster paintings, created oil paintings and watercolors. She also designed patterns for carpets and made glass mosaics for windows, doors and mirrors. In her last years she preferred the collage technique with paper.
